Meridian’s dual credit students spoke to the kindergarten classes this week about the importance practicing safety during a solar eclipse. They also read a book and donated glasses for students to have for the event.
3rd grade students from both classes are participating in "multiplication madness" for the month of March. We are proud to announce our 3rd place winner, Makhyla Johnson and our 4th place winner, Kaden Corcoran! Keep up the GREAT work!

CNA students from Meridian and Cairo schools will be hosting a blood drive on Thursday, May 2nd at Meridian High School in the gym from 8 AM to 1 PM. Meridian Bobcats will parade back through our towns today Sunday March 10th. With a reception at the High School at 2pm.
Mrs. M. Hawkins 2nd Grade students earned a 3rd quarter “Reading is All That, and a bag of Chips” AR Party. 10/14 students have reached or exceeded 50 points and were rewarded with $5.00. Each student had to track their own progress by adding stickers to a classroom chart. All students met their individual reading goal for the quarter. Students took comprehension tests to earn points toward their goals. The class party included chips, juice and mini cupcakes. Students enjoyed an extra recess and watched Luck.
Due to the Boy's Basketball Team making the State Finals, there will be no school on Thursday, March 7th and Friday, March 8th. We encourage anyone able to come to Champaign and support the team.

The elementary boys play one game vs. Cairo today. Players should be here by 3:30. Please do not show up earlier than 3:15 due to parent/teacher conferences.
The fan bus will board on the west side of the parking lot near the trailers. The bus will depart at 5:00 and return at approximately 10:30.
