Be sure to come out today from 11:30-6:30 and register your child, if you have not done so already. They must be registered by today in order to start on Monday, August 12!
For Thursday, August 8th our hours of operation will be from 11:30 am to 6:30 pm. If your child has not registered yet, please do so IMMEDIATELY during those hours. All students MUST be registered by TODAY in order to start by August 12th with the correct documents (2 proof of residency, Physical form, Dental Form, and State Issued Birth Certificate). Please join us tomorrow, August 8th for our back to school night from 4 PM to 6:30 PM! Bring your students out to meet their teacher, drop off school supplies, tour the school, and grab a hotdog! All parents that sign in will be entered in a chance to win one of 2 $50 gift cards! We can't wait to see everyone and kick off a great start to the year.

Meridian CUSD 101 will have the Early Room daily for parents to drop students off. Doors will open at 7:00 AM. Pre-K parents that utilize this must accompany their child inside the building daily and sign them in. Please share to help spread the word!

ATTENTION: 2024-25 Juniors & Seniors:
Good morning junior and senior students and parents. Shawnee Community College may potentially offer a nail tech dual credit class for the fall and spring semester. If interested, please contact the guidance office and leave your name letting us know that you are interested in going to Shawnee College for the Nail tech dual class.
Also, there may be another opportunity to take welding dual credit classes this upcoming school year due to potential openings. If you are interested, please contact the guidance office and leave your name letting us know that you were interested in the welding classes.
Both programs will be at the SCC main campus. You will have to provide your own transportation to these classes.
Meridian CUSD 101 is applying for the 21st CCLC FY24 grant to provide tutoring and/or summer programming to help students improve their academic performance. This opportunity will help with student academic achievement, provide enrichment activities, and provide community outreach. If we are awarded this grant, programming should start in mid to late September and go through the Spring of 2025.
Attention Pre-K families - Letters regarding your child's start date for the school year, information regarding the mandatory orientation and paperwork that may still be needed have been mailed out.
There are a few spots still available in the Pre-K program. If you are interested in your child attending Pre-K this year please call the elementary office as soon as possible at 618-342-6773.
Shawnee Community College - College Visit opportunity!
Southern 7 Head Start Mounds will be hosting a "Vanilla Ice Cream and Sprinkle Day" on July 23rd from 3-5 pm. Please see attached flyer for more information.

We will have a little area set up for the children who accompany parents as well. Every student enrolled will receive a free mesh backpack! The Overflow will also be set up on July 9th as well!
Community Health will be hosting a Dance Party and Book Raffle at Meridian Elementary on Friday, June 28th in the Elementary gym from 9:45 AM to 12 PM.
