Meridian PreK classes celebrate Color Day! This week's color was Brown. Staff and students school wide were asked and encouraged to support PreK students by wearing Brown.

Meridian School District will be out of school Wednesday, November 24, Thursday, November 25 and Friday November 26 in honor of Thanksgiving. School will resume Monday, November 29.

MHS Vaccine Clinics Tuesday, November 16, Tuesday, December 7 and Thursday, December 16 and Thursday, January 7 from 9-6 Meridian High School and the Illinois Department of Public Health are hosting a free Pfizer Covid 19 vaccine clinic on November 16th, December 7th, December 16th, and January 7th in the portable buildings by the high school from 9 am to 6 pm. The MHS clinic will be on site at 1401 Mounds Road in front of the high school. Signage outside the buildings will show the appropriate areas to enter the lower parking lot into the gym. Parking will be available to visitors. The partner members are providing parents, children/students 5-11, students-12 or older, and community members the opportunity to get a first, second shot and booster shots. Parents must come to sign Permission Slips for their students’ first shot vaccines. Second shot recipients will need to bring their shot card received at the first shot. Also, booster shots are available. Recipients will need to report they are immune compromised to receive their booster shot. The booster recipients will also need their Shot 1 and Shot 2 card.

Meridian Middle School Boys will play basketball Thursday evening at Cobden. Due to an abundance of caution and the current size of the gym, no fans will be allowed at the game, including parents.

Tonight's Middle School Boys' Basketball game between Meridian and Century will be played in the High School Gym at 6 PM.

Meridian school district will continue the 2pm dismissal schedule for the remainder of the first semester which ends December 17.

Meridian School District will have no student attendance Thursday October 28 due to Parent/Teacher Conferences. There will also be no school on Friday October 29. School and Enrichment will resume Monday, November 1.

Meridian School District will host Parent/Teacher Conferences October 21, 26 and 28. There will be no Enrichment classes from October 21 through October 28. Enrichment Activities will resume November 1.
